And what is that old hag of a matchmaker up to? I hope you know what you're doing Tenchi, because I think you're getting in deep trouble. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Four's A Crowd. Let me warn you, Tenchi, I won't let you get away with this!
Promo: Please allow me to introduce myself: I am Aeka. Miss Ryoko's selfish behavior upset Lord Tenchi so much that he told us all never to come to Tokyo. Now our only hope is the monitoring device Miss Washu has invented for us, so we can at least see him on the monitor screen. I know it's sneaky, but I miss him. Promo: Hi, I'm Sasami. What? Tenchi's getting married to Sakuya? Great! I'd be very happy to hear wedding bells. The only problem is that if Ryoko and my sister Aeka ever find out about this, they would really be upset. I bet they'd fight to the death. That's not all that's going out. Something is not quite right. What kind of place is this mansion? I don't have a good feeling about it. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: The Eternal Pledge.
Y creates SUGARU, HOTSUMA and MITORI. Out walking, Tenchi and Sakuyu Kanashiro wander into fog, find mansion, which Hotsuma IDs as House of the Eternal Plege, aka House of Illusions, tries to marry them, but Ryoko and Aeka rush to Tokyo by shoving Ryo-ohki thru dimension gate under comforter.
Promo: Hello, it's me, your darling little Washu. Huh? You need some money and you want me to do something about it? No way! That's too much to ask, even from an amazingly brilliant scientist like me. I can give you some terrific advice, though. Make your way to Tokyo and find a part-time job there. Work really hard, and you can earn all the money you need --eh-hey! Stop making faces at me, and get going! The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Money! Money! Money!
Ryoko, pizza deliv, but lazy ignores phone. Aeka waitress, but insists on changing order. Mihoshi and Kiyone cooks, but M blows up kitchen. Sasami and Ryo-ohki become street performers. TM and SK day out. All 4 take job building, but it's Mitori making the Master Contractor GRAYANTOHOSHI.
Promo: Hello there, I'm Mihoshi! Sasami got freaked out and ran away from home to join Tenchi in Tokyo. Gee, I wonder why? Could it have been us? Oh my, so there's that new friend of Sasami. Promo: I'm Kiyone, first-class detective in the Galaxy Police. We're all excited because it's Tenchi Anniversary tomorrow, the most memorable day of our lives, when we first met Tenchi. Time really flies. Two years have already passed since the day we crash-landed on the face of Earth. That turned out to be the day of my doom. Yes, that's when all my career ambitions were crashed to pieces. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: The Day We Met.
Sakuya sees Tenchi off at the train station, and floats the idea that she accompany him; she could meet his parents; "I bet they'd be surprised." "Surprised, yeah, right," he laughs nervously. She hands him a wrapped food package. Later, on the train, he opens a pouch and spills out a crystal pendant, which reminds him of the death of mother.
In Okiyama, preparations for the festivities are underway. Aeka is decorating a multi-tiered cake. The guardians are hovering overhead, suspending a banner between them. Kiyone and Mihoshi are making flowers (their current job). Against the ceiling, Washu examines the malfunctioning dimension tunnel, and drops a tool; Mihoshi picks it up and activates its laser, toppling the cake onto Kiyone. Suddenly, the crystal each woman wears (mates to Tenchi's) glow; as does Ryoko's, who's perched outside in the rain. "If Aeka hadn't chased me to the Earth, I'd've never have met Tenchi."
Flashback: From her treeship, Aeka leads a GP fleet pursuing Ryoko, who has stolen the Jyurai Lightstone, one of the planet's most precious relics. (Ryoko's ship is an undersized Soujya-like vessel, scarlet.) Despite the assurances of the GP liaison (Mihoshi and Kiyone), Aeka insists on participating because the GP are "incompetent bunglers" who've many times failed to capture the criminal. "Uh, Aeka, we can hear everything you're saying about us," says Mihoshi from the still-open commscreen. Kiyone covetously imagines the rewards of a successful capture: a raise, promotion, reinstatement at HQ.
Ryoko fires a cannon. Aeka fires "all torpedoes" in reply -- but the mini-Soujya is undamaged. Aboard, Washu (in goggles, arm-length gloves, oversized purple pants and halter to match Ryoko's) gloats that "I, Washu the genius mastermind, created that shield, so you'll never break through it!" She examines the Lightstone, the crystallized energy of the power of Jyurai. Ryoko forbids her from weird experiments on it; she was, after all, merely hired to help steal it. They suddenly run low on fuel; Washu admits her shield *does* consume it at a prodigious rate. There are no refueling stations in this remote region of the galaxy, but Washu detects a nearby world with a massive energy reading: Earth. The shield drops.
K&M finally catch up with R&W, but behind them, they notice Aeka charging her Thunderflash cannon. She fires; as does Ryoko. Most of the GP ships are destroyed in the backwash. Disabled, R&W are "drawn downward by some unknown power source"; Aeka follows. Closer, Washu localizes it: a necklace of crystals worn by a young male native.
Unsuspecting Tenchi Masaki sprints past the woods; he's late for his chores at the shrine. The two massive ships hover above him.
Today: In Tokyo, Sakura wonders why she can't communicate her feelings to Tenchi, and decides to follow him.
In Okiyama, Sasami exits the house to see Aeka, who's waiting impatiently by the lake. "My Tenchi is very late! There's no excuse!" Her mood flips. "Oh no, maybe he's been in an accident or something."
Flashback: Aeka and the guardians examine Ryoko's ship, listing at the center of a smoking new crater; no sign of life. The fugitives are sprinting through the forest; Washu panics. The guardians proceed through the foliage, scanning; Aeka hovers behind. Her wood-shield goes up of its own accord; suddenly -- boom!
Sasami, holding her pet cabbit Ryo-ohki, waits outside the treeship. It's hit by lightning and breaks up.
Aeka easily survives the attack, and demands the Lightstone. Ryoko challenges her to come and get it; the two guardians glide forward. They easily teleport-evade her first blasts, but she gets behind them. Triumphantly, she fires from point-blank range -- and is smashed by the reflected blast. Fallen and desperate, she absorbes the Lightstone into her forehead, vows to "blow you sky-high", and transforms into a giant beast (picturesequely tattering her outfit doing so).
Alone in the forest, Sasami is startled by a sudden noise. Tenchi emerges from the trees and almost trips over her. He warns "the little girl" that it's dangerous here!
Beast-Ryoko knocks down the guardians and punches through Aeka's shield. Tenchi and Sasami arrive, and Aeka warns her sister away. Tenchi's necklace responds to the danger, tearing loose from the lanyard and transforming into a jagged scimitar in his hands; a complete surprise. (Off to the side, Washu confirms it's the energy source they detected.) Ryoko punches the sword and -- boom! Another crater. "No! What have I done?" gasps Tenchi, afraid he's just taken a life, however involuntarily. K&M's ship drops into the clearing, lights and siren blaring.
Today: Tenchi's finally back at the house. The women argue over him. Elsewhere, Sakuya's on the train.
Promo: Hi, I'm Tenchi Masaki. I'm back home in Okiyama now. I did something really terrible on a special day two years ago. I was wearing a necklace my mother had given me; a very special and magical necklace. Ryoko and everyone else would've been a lot better off if I hadn't been wearing it. But then again, if I hadn't been wearing it, I'd've never made friends with six amazing girls all at once, either. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Tenchi Anniversary.
Was 2y ago that they all arrived, and so declare Tenchi Anniversary Day. Stone monkey marker to white monkey.
Promo: Hi, I'm Kiyone. I finally did it, Mihoshi: I found a perfect part-time job for us. We're going to work on a new excavation site of archeological importance. Huh? Oh no, isn't that Aeka? What! She's come to find Tenchi? I have a feeling something bad is going to happen. Hey, that's not Azaka and Kamidake. Oh! Looks like I was right about something bad happening. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: The Guardians of Old.
"Ryoko -- applied makeup -- by the *pound*!" Aeka howls, paralyzed with laughter.
Promo: Hi, I'm Sasami. Ryo-ohki has been so naughty lately. Oh no, now look what you've done, Ryo-ohki. You know Grandfather treasures this statue; you can't just break it and then think you can get away with it. It only makes it worse if you try to lie about it. Oh, I really don't know what to do with you anymore. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Moon Mission.
From their ship, Mihoshi tries to make a report to GPHQ; but their superior officer notes with displeasure that Mihoshi is more focused on a cartoon, "Space Police", featuring "the Evil Wargons".
Sasami is cooking. Stomach rumbling, Ryo-ohki enters the kitchen, notices the carrots on the island, goes for them, and overturns a pile of plates. Sasami scolds her, and orders her out of the house.
In the living room, Aeka and Ryoko argue over the cookies Tenchi sent them. Sparks fly, they fight, and a giant ugly gold statue gets bisected. Guilty, they stick it together with saliva. Ryo-ohki enters the room, notices the last cookie in the box atop the statue, and scrambles for it. The impact breaks it apart again -- and the rivals tacitly agree to let her take the blame. Sasami enters, sees the carnage perpetrated against "Grampa's favorite statue", ignores Ryo-ohki's meowed protestations of innocence ("it only makes if you try to lie about it"); devastated, the cabbit runs away.
Later, Grampa arrives home, and Sasami abases herself before him, explains. Unperturbed, he examines the statue, and pronounces it broken with a single blow; Ryo-ohki couldn't have done it. Sasami is horrified-guilty of her earlier accusations. He further explains that it was sent to him to determine its value; apparently it's *not* solid gold as was claimed. Ryoko giggles that the damage was okay then. "I don't think so!" he roars at them.
Out by the lake, the disconsolate Ryo-ohki recalls Sasami's accusing words. She looks up when a shape flies past the full moon: another cabbit! They meet on a cliff; the newcover has purple eyes. It leaps into the air and transforms to a ship; Ryo-ohki joyously follows. They fly to the moon, frolic in a crater; and out of a field of holes pop an entire *herd* of cabbits, each with a carrot. (Elsewhere, cabbit YUU-OHKI reports success to Yuugi.)
Walking through Tokyo, Tenchi is worried; it's three days now that Sakuya's been away from school. He's surprised by the sudden arrival of K&M in their ship; announcing an emergency, they unceremoniously beam him up (cramming him into the two-place cockpit).
The emergency is Ryo-ohki's continued absence. "You are a bird-brained bubblehead!" Sasami scolds the two rivals, livid, eyes streaming. "You shouldn't say that about Aeka," says Ryoko smugly. "It's true, of course --but she's your sister; you shouldn't point out what a twit she is." Off to the side, Mihoshi (meerschaum pipe in mouth), ascribes it all to the Evil Wargons.
Tenchi suggests they consult Washu. "Ah yes, the Case of the Missing Ryo-ohki," the scientist declares when they visit her lab. She, too, has a pipe -- plus a deerstalker cap and brown Victorian suit. "Style is everything; you've gotta look the role." She presents her new Time Monitor to track Ryo-ohki's movement; or someone could swallow her ESP pill and contact her telepathically. "Of course, after you use it, you'll fall asleep for about four years and three months," she caveats. Tenchi chooses the Monitor. "Oh sure, play it safe," she says, miffed. Donning the blinking Monitor cap, Washu traces the "kidnappers" to the moon.
Kidnappers? Kiyone is carried away with visions of returning to HQ a hero. Sasami insists on coming; then Aeka; and of course Ryoko. "It'll be nice to breathe the air of outer space again," the pirate sighs. The five of them cram into the GP ship and rush to the moon, where they question the necessity of wearing spacesuits with Ryo-ohki ears. Washu and Tenchi monitor from the lab; and why (he asks) are *they* both wearing brown furry Ryo-ohki costumes?
On the moon, they activate a camera aboard the ship to record the capture. Kiyone begins her report while the others hike off. She turns and runs to follow, but trips over a rock, flies off on a ballistic trajectory (very efficient, the others note), and crashes. Catching up, the others see a cabbit crawl out from under her prone body, and take it for Ryo-ohki -- until the rest arise from the holes, curious.
Kiyone encourages Sasami to find the real one; but the despondent girl wonders, how? "She's a wonder child; she can do anything, the little pest," notes Ryoko snidely. She wades into the flock, apologizes, and finds her--
--and suddenly the rest aren't so cute anymore. They glow yellow, surrounding Yuu-ohki in the center, eyes a baleful red. They merge and go giant-beast. In response, Ryo-ohki goes mecha (bigger than in #1, and upiloted). The cops pull their guns, Mecha-Ryo-ohki fires its forehead beam, the moster vanishes, and no one's sure who should take credit. Back at the ship, Kiyone gloats over her tape -- oh no! Mihoshi taped "Space Cops" instead.
Reporting back to Yuugi, Yuu-ohki gets evaporated.
Kitchen again, cooking again, carrots again. Sasami pulls the bowl away from Ryo-ohki -- and gives her a dish of chopped carrots on a bed of lettuce instead.
In lunar orbit, a GP "patrol ship" passes K&M. "Nothing to report, sir; no problems!" Mihoshi chirps happily, as its occupants salute from four decks of backlit windows. Kiyone again inwardly bemoans the terrible handicap of her partner. "I wanna be reassigned," she prays. "I wanna go back to HQ!"
Promo: Long time no see! It's me, Mihoshi. What, Father ran away from home to join Tenchi? Well, come to think of it, ever since Sasami fell ill Father has been taking care of us all by himself. I'm not surprised if he's gotten a bit tired. But the bright side of it all is it's good for a father to get away from work and spend time with his boy for a while. Promo: Hi, I'm Washu! A mysterious girl shows up out of the blue in front of our very eyes. Her name is Yuugi and she is incredible. Believe it or not, she's so powerful she knocks Ryoko out with one blow. Without Tenchi around to help us, I don't think we'll survive. Promo: I'm Aeka. So the dimensional tunnel is blocked and there's no money in the house to buy the train tickets. But nothing can stop me from trying to seeing Lord Tenchi. I'll walk all the way to Tokyo if I have to. I know all the pure-hearted maidens who look for love and believe in love share my feelings. What? You're giving me a free ride to Tokyo? Oh, thank you Miss Masayo. Let us go hand in hand after the men we love. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Tokyo or Bust!
Promo: I'm Tenchi Masaki. Sakuya and her friends are setting up a crepes stand for the school festival, and I'm here to help. Somehow these girls are acting strange, though; like they have some kind of secret plan or something. And that's not all; Amagasaki's behavior is even weirder than usual these days; I wonder what's going on with him? The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Love Match.
Promo: Hello! Your darling Washu here. Hmm, I see why this house seems so quiet: Ryoko's gone. Well, I wouldn't worry about her at all. I know her; she'll be back when she feels like it. In the meantime, I'll keep myself busy in my lab doing some important research. Don't disturb me, okay? The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Drifting Away.
Promo: Hello, I'm Aeka. Congratulations, Mihoshi and Kiyone, on your promotion. I'm happy for you, but I'll miss you very much while you're on your assignment on Pluto. Miss Washu has locked herself in her lab, and Ryoko is gone, so our dining table which has always been so crowded is now deserted and lonely. My lord Tenchi, what has become of us? The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Game Over.
Promo: Hi, I'm Kiyone. It was only a short while ago we all lived as one big happy family on Earth. Who could have imagined then that there would come a day when we would have to arrest Ryoko? But, duty is duty, and when I accomplish this mission successfully, my return to HQ and my promotion are guaranteed. Let's go, Mihoshi; we'll arrest the space pirate Ryoko all by ourselves. You look through the viewfinder and press the shutter and then boom, the person photographed loses his soul, they say. What, where did I get this silly old joke? Well, it was my grampa who told me that. The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: Sakuya's Secret.
Promo: Aeka here. Ryoko has gone to outer space and doesn't seem to be coming back. Kiyone and Mihoshi have gone to Pluto and they don't seem to be coming back. And Lord Tenchi has gone to Tokyo and *he* doesn't seem to be coming back either. Talk about being left behind; what am I supposed to do? I know! Katsuhito. Mitori (b-P-N fem). Ruins in northern Okitama. Planet Guardians, Masaki clan, "many generations", protect Earth from evil, gems passed down as symbol, crystallization of Earth's organic power. Yuugi split them up to separate/weaken the gems. Kamubistos, wraith demon things.
Promo: The city, the people; they're all being sucked into this grey space. Time has stopped -- and it's all 'cause of you, Yuugi. I just can't believe it. You were so nice when we were together. Why are you doing such horrible things now? Why can't you just be friends with everyone? Please, Yuugi, listen to me, please! The next episode of the new Tenchi Muyo series: The End of Time
Mitori, Sugaru, Hitomi continue attacks. Yuugi has S kidnapped, freezes world. Gems protect their wearers. Kiyone uses special xpmtl AM bullet, plans to, when M takes blast for her. TM diverted into illusion with SK, who stops herself after kiss, tells TM what he must do -- to Y's horror. All their gems activate and bring them together, and S released.
Promo: We've been through a lot, haven't we, Tenchi? Hmm. And now I know we're destined to be together forever, you and I. So let's just deal with her, once and for all. We'll pay her back thousandfold for playing with us like little toys. Go Tenchi, go! Mmm, I think I'm falling in love with you all over again. Tenchi, my temperature is up at least ten degrees. Yuugi wants to build own empire "a special world just for you and me". Is stunned that Sasami "my only friend" "abandoned" her. Erases Hitomi for backtalk. They all pass their gems to Tenchi, and they form sword. Katsuhito says to Washu that Tenchi is gentle, protects without fighting. Okoyama. Yuugi grows frantic, terrified of being imprisoned "alone in the dark" again. SJ talks to sleeping Y in crypt; chose to sleep until grows into a better person. Washu ruins Ryoko-Tenchi moment with new dimension tunnel. Was only one sem at school (college?)
