"To survive a cosmic storm that devastates their planet,
the Protectons and Terrakors are forced to transfer their essences
into the huge powerful bodies of -- Robotix."

"And once again the ancient hostilities between the valiant
Protectons and the evil Terrakors erupt into violence, each side
made stronger by an organic interface with human beings."

3 million years ago. The Terrakors had built the Terrastar, the "ultimate weapon" with which they intended to conquer the galaxy -- but they required Compucore to control it. As Stellor's (Skellor's?) sun went nova, Terrakor leader Nemesis pushed the issue that the Terrastar could evacuate the planet's most critical personal. Protecton leader Argus insisted that stasis tubes could preserve the entire population (oddly enough, the congregation is being held in a cavern already equipped with them), and the Robotix machines would be used to rebuild the surface. Once radiation dropped below lethal levels, Compucore performed an essence transfer on selected individuals into the Robotix. This was apparently not to plan; Argus was quite surprised to find he was a Robotix, not piloting one. (Or maybe he was disoriented. But why would Compucore have the capability?) Dronid?
Bears many resemblences to Marvel's concurrent animated series, The Transformers. The Terrakor Robotix use insults like "puny mortal" and "flesh creature," and Boltar sounds/acts exactly like Grimlock ("Boltar want battle! Boltar want more battle! Boltar like saving friends! Terrakors, you die!"). The opening monologue's description of the two factions is practically verbatim the Autobot-Decepticon split, and the human interface presages the development of Head/Target/Powermasters. They transform.
